The showlost utility searches a directory - and all directories beneath it - checking each production file for lost references to other production files. While the utility checks the files, it displays any access errors. Once it's finished checking the files, it lists all the lost files.
Its syntax is:
showlost [-a] directory
-a
parameter, all file types are listed. Otherwise, drawing, palette and TIFF files are not listed - although their containing directories are.You can specify the directory in Windows NT UNC (Universal Naming Convention) format, or in your computer's native format.
For example:
showlost G:\LocalUsers\mikeh\data showlost '\\homer\Disc3\LocalUsers\mikeh\data'
